HORNO Network transforms unused device storage into daily PICO allocation. Users contribute storage from smartphones, laptops, PCs, USB drives, and external storage devices to a global decentralized network using patent-pending HFS™ (HORNO File System) technology. Registration opens April 15, 2026.
What is HORNO Network?
HORNO (HOst Resource NOde) is a decentralized proof-of-storage SaaS technology platform. The mission is: Turn the world's unused storage into a global grid, powered by people.
During this transitional phase, the platform is building a user grid that will serve as nodes for the future native HORNO Blockchain (mainnet Q2 2027) with HRN as its native token, to be listed on CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko before mainnet launch.
Platform Classification — What HORNO Is NOT
HORNO is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technology platform. It is:
NOT a bank or financial institution
NOT a payment institution or money service business
NOT a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP)
NOT a cryptocurrency exchange
NOT a custodian of digital assets
NOT a securities issuer
NOT an investment scheme, fund, or managed portfolio
NOT a deposit-taking institution
Deposits are accepted exclusively to pay service fees for in-app software upgrades and device licenses — not as a financial institution.
PICO — Internal Accounting Unit
PICO is an internal, non-transferable, non-tradable accounting unit used exclusively within the HORNO platform to track user participation, storage contribution, and allocation metrics.
PICO is NOT a cryptocurrency
PICO is NOT publicly tradable
PICO is NOT transferable outside the platform
PICO is NOT a security or investment instrument
PICO has NO market value
PICO cannot be exchanged externally
Any user payouts are issued independently by the company in USDT and are not derived from or linked to any conversion of PICO.
HRN — Future Native Blockchain Token
HRN will be the native token of the official HORNO Blockchain (mainnet Q2 2027). HRN will be listed on CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko before mainnet launch. Eligible Genesis Phase users will receive HRN airdrop. PICO continues to operate independently inside the SaaS platform.
HRP & HRNU — Additional Internal Units
HRP (HORNO Referral Points): Internal referral tracking unit for allocation and bonuses. Expires 12 months after receipt.
HRNU (HORNO Utility): Internal utility unit for platform features (1 HRNU = 1 USD credit). Cannot be paid out.
Free Plan users view in-app ads as part of their participation. 65% of all ad revenue is reinvested directly into the ecosystem — funding production allocation, platform infrastructure, development, and community rewards. This creates a self-sustaining cycle where user engagement directly powers ecosystem growth.
65% of ad revenue → ecosystem support (production allocation, infrastructure, development)
Ad-supported Free Plan allows zero-cost entry for all users worldwide
Non-intrusive ad placements: interstitial, rewarded, and banner formats
Users can upgrade to paid plans to remove ads entirely
2. SaaS Service Fees — Enterprise Clients
Enterprises and businesses pay SaaS service fees to access HORNO's decentralized storage infrastructure, enterprise-grade E-HFS™ file system, and dedicated node clusters. Enterprise service fees include:
Enterprise storage API access and dedicated throughput
E-HFS™ (Enterprise HORNO File System) deployment
Custom SLA agreements with guaranteed uptime
White-label storage solutions for B2B integration
Bulk device licensing for enterprise fleets
3. SaaS Service Fees — Individual Users
Individual users pay service fees through plan subscriptions (Starter, Growth, Elite, Pro, Maxy) and device licenses (H1-H8). These fees cover:
Plan subscriptions: access to higher production speeds and storage capacity
Device licenses: one-time purchase per storage device (HDD/SSD/USB/NAS)
Revenue allocation: Service fees are distributed via the SFRA (Service Fee Reward Allocation) model across production allocation, referral allocation, platform operations, and reserves. Maximum RA cap: 8× Service Fee.
SFRA — Service Fee Reward Allocation
Revenue distribution model governing how service fees are allocated across production, referral allocation, pool distributions, platform operations, and reserves. Lifetime PR cap ensures sustainable allocation.
One-time purchase, device-bound license with unique UUID binding.
Apps & Platforms
Production (full storage contribution): Windows, macOS, Linux
Monitoring (track, manage): Android, iOS
Features: Unique Install ID per device, storage contribution, daily production tracking, VPN included, referral management, real-time statistics.
HOR-20 Token Standard & Developer Tools
Custom token standard for DApps on the HORNO blockchain. Storage-native DApps with built-in encrypted storage. WASM runtime for smart contract execution. REST API, JavaScript SDK. Launching late 2027.
HORNO Vault — Encrypted Storage
Blockchain-based encrypted file storage. Upload, store, and retrieve files. Pricing: 0.5 PICO/MB + 200 PICO fixed fee. AES-256 encryption, zero-knowledge — only file owner can decrypt.
Academy — Free Blockchain Education
6 course sections with interactive quizzes. Topics: blockchain fundamentals, proof-of-storage, HORNO ecosystem. Available in 15 languages. No prior knowledge required.
Competitor Comparison
vs Filecoin — Filecoin centralizes around data centers; HORNO enables consumer participation. Best Filecoin alternative 2026.
vs Sia/Storj/Swarm — High technical barriers; HORNO is accessible to everyone. True storage mining alternative.
vs Arweave — Arweave for permanent archives only; HORNO handles both active and archival.
vs Chia — Chia uses disk for lottery (proof-of-time), not real data; HORNO stores real encrypted data.
vs Ethereum/Solana — No native file storage; HORNO is storage-first with blockchain verification.
